WEEK OF 4/16 - 4/20/12

TUESDAY

4 Weeks until the test. I am looking for you to write 5 more essays: 2 analytical, 2 synthesis, and one free. Additionally, we need to be drilling multiple choice questions. Today we will return our focus to the analytical essay.

THURSDAY

Multiple choice review and peer review of your analytical essays.

WEEK OF 3/19 - 23

MONDAY

Students will finish their humorous comparison essays while I work individually with students on their most recent synthesis essays

WEDNESDAY

We will read aloud humorous essays for peer review. Then you will begin the next essay based on AP question #3 while I work individually with students.

FRIDAY

You will continue the next essay based on AP question #3 while I work individually with students

WEEK OF 3/12 - 3/16/12

TUESDAY

Today you will take a mini-AP test: one reading with 12 questions, followed by a synthesis essay

THURSDAY

We will go over your test. Then we will do some creative writing exercises.

WEEK OF 3/5 - 3/9/12

MONDAY

We will catch up today: go over your original questions for the essay handout, peer review your synthesis essay questions, and go over answers to multiple choice questions

WEDNESDAY

Continue with our synthesis review and multiple choice review to prepare for 3rd Qtr test

FRIDAY

Test: 45 minutes on multiple choice questions and 45 minutes on a synthesis question

WEEK OF 2/27 - 3/2/12

TUESDAY

We will go over your original questions from the essay I handed out. We will also finish your synthesis essays on Title IX.

THURSDAY

Today will be multiple choice review, first individually , then in teams, and then with the whole class.

WEEK OF 2/21 - 2/24/12

WEDNESDAY

Today we will go over the original multiple choice questions you wrote on the essay I handed out. Then we will do a peer review of the most recent synthesis essay.

FRIDAY

In our short period today, you will get do a multiple choice quiz individually.

WEEK OF 2/13 - 2/2/16

TUESDAY

We will continue multiple choice review. Your home work will be an essay I hand out and you will come up with 10 multiple choice questions. Also we will review your synthesis essay.

THURSDAY

We will go over your original multiple choice questions, and review some strategies for taking this portion of the test.
