WEEK OF 10/18 - 10/22

MONDAY

We will begin with your Great Books reading of An Essay in Aesthetics. We will review it and go over your answers. Then you will take a multiple choice practice quiz. First, come up with answers on your own - no discussion. Then break up into groups of 3 each, and compare your answers, trying to determine what the correct answer is. Then as a whole group, see what you think are the correct answers. Keep all scores, not for a grade but so that I can see your thought process. Finally we will read one of the selections in the Bedford Reader from Chapter 4: Comparison and Contrast. You will use this as a guide to write your own similar essay, one page, due next class.

WEDNESDAY

You will continue with the multiple choice exercises as on Monday. Then we will read your Compare/Contrast essays.

FRIDAY

You will begin with the multiple choice exercises. We will read your Compare/Contrast essays. Finally we will begin our review of the Analysis Essay that is the most difficult of the three you must write on the AP exam.
